As of 8/18/2025, CJ has still refused to pay several artists, as well as coder/developer Ember. They have a combined total of thousands of dollars of invoices that have remained unpaid, that CJ himself has admitted will never be paid.These staff members helped create Santae, and deserve to be compensated for their work. Some of them have been unable to cover emergencies, while CJ has retained all profit gained from the cash shop, using their very own art and code.While legal action is being looked into, it does not help these artists with their current lack of income. If you can spare any, please help support the people who truly made Santae what it was.

Wage theft / Failure to pay wages
As of August 2025, several artists have remained unpaid by CJ for their work. These invoices total up to over $4,000 at MINIMUM.
